And before this one, the authentic oil painting  priced highest is also Picasso’s; it’s Garcon a la Pipe at 104 million US dollar. Nude, Green Leaves and Bust was in the personal collection of Los Angeles art collectors Sidney and Frances Brody for nearly six decades.
From the year 1932, Pablo Picasso began to create a series of portrait oil paintings for Marie-Therese Walter, who was the great artist’s lover and muse goddess. This oil painting is on a very large canvas which is in lavender and vivid blue. And it has been exhibited for only once in 1961, for marking the 80th birthday of the old gifted painter. Painted in modernism manner, this cubism oil painting conveys a strong expression force which has the power to shaking the minds of human.
Now, Pablo Picasso sleeps under ground forever, but his great artworks and the contribution he has made to art history are always shining all over the world. Maybe we can learn why his excellent oil painting can be priced so amazingly high.
